The overgrown garden, before and after

The first photos were taken during our second viewing of the cottage in August 2009. The second photos have been taken in March 2013, to mark the start of this blog. They show how we've cleared a lot back, leaving an almost blank canvas to start our new garden.

Where's the house?!
And... breathe
BEFORE The garage is in there on the left

AFTER Will be a nice bed one day!
Front of the house, guttering hanging off and damp inside
Bricks painted with Cuprinol, espalier apples in the sun
BEFORE Rotten fence and disappearing lawn

AFTER New laurel boundary hedge and clear beds
BEFORE Jungle entrance to the back garden

AFTER Order out of chaos, Japanese Anenomes still there though!
BEFORE Not entirely sure what's in there...
AFTER Ah, fruit beds one day, and the compost area
BEFORE - ???

AFTER The new veg beds
BEFORE Nasty old shed right in the middle of the garden

AFTER Birch tree liberated, woodland view revealed
BEFORE View of right hand side of 'kidney bean' shape

AFTER Look at all that space!
The left hand side of the garden, which we haven't quite got to yet...
